About Us
Our family
Pictured is our family in 2022. The two teddy bears represent our missing members, Jordan (the striped bear) and Jacob (the light blue bear--being held by his daughter). We reside in rural Tuscola, Illinois, where we have lived since 1985 and raised all six of our children.
History
Be BRAVE is a 501c3 non-profit organization. It was formed in 2014 after Jordan "Petey" passed of an accidental heroin overdose on February 17, 2014 at the age of 20. Be BRAVE continues to grow after Petey's brother, Jacob, also pass of an accidental overdose on May 29, 2019 at the age of 29.
Our goal is to have their short lives make a difference in other's lives.

Our mission is to educate our fellow humans with a goal to aid in the prevention of substance use/abuse. And for those affected by substance use disorder, to promote recovery for a healthier and successful future for themselves and their loved ones.
